Tax return FAQs
How much do we charge?
This year our base rate is $149 per individual tax return. Extra charges may be applied on more complex items including rental properties, complex deductions, business/personal services income, share trading activities and Fee from Refund services. If you don’t have any of these, the base rate will be applied for your tax return. Our fees are 100% deductable on the following year’s tax return. We believe a good accountant is much more important than a good price!
What’s an interview for a tax return?
We will guide you through a comprehensive list of questions to ensure we don’t miss any allowable deductions and tax offsets you are entitled to. Rather than filling out the tax return quickly as many agents do, we look into every detail carefully and prepare your tax return thoroughly, maximising your return as much as possible within legislation guidelines. A standard meeting takes approximately 30-45 minutes. This is the minimum timeframe required to ask all relevant questions. If your previous tax agent completed your tax return in 10 minutes, you may have been losing a lot of deductions without even realising it.
Opening Hours
During the tax season (July to October), our normal working hours are Mon – Sat, 9am to 7pm. However we DO open for late appointments till 9pm (by appointment). It is best to call us first to arrange a time for a meeting before you come.
How long does it take to get my tax refund back?
Most tax returns are completed by the ATO within 2 weeks. However, occasionally it can take up to 30 days for the ATO to process your tax return. We will ensure we do everything required to help you get your tax refund as quickly as possible.
